Who we are

Hailey DeCicco has her Master's degree in Business with a focus on Public Policy and a passion for supporting children and families. She has a unique blend of expertise in mental health and community well-being.

Hailey is currently the Program Director for Housing at Family of Woodstock and works to establish safe housing for those in the Ulster County community. She is a Family Counselor for Families Now that specializes in in-home crisis support to families at risk of separation.

Hailey’s knowledge of the surrounding community enhances her approach to community work, allowing her to advocate for resources and create positive change at multiple levels. Her experience in crisis intervention allows her to effectively support individuals and families facing immediate challenges, providing a safe and supportive environment during difficult times. Hailey’s experience working with children and families allows her to tailor interventions to individual needs, promoting positive change and create individual resilience through empowering self-determination.

Executive Director/Founder

Jennifer Peterson is a Licensed Social Worker with more than 25 years of experience dedicated to strengthening individuals, families, and communities through trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and resilience-building. Throughout her career, Jennifer has worked extensively with at-risk youth, families, first responders, and individuals experiencing mental health crises, earning a reputation for compassionate leadership, clinical excellence, and unwavering advocacy.

Jennifer currently serves as the Mental Health Response Specialist for the Ulster County Sheriff's Office, where she partners with law enforcement to provide crisis intervention, suicide prevention, de-escalation, and mental health support for individuals experiencing behavioral health emergencies. Her collaborative approach helps connect vulnerable community members with appropriate services while reducing barriers to care.

In addition, Jennifer serves as the Resiliency Officer for the Rifton Fire Department, supporting first responders through peer support initiatives, critical incident stress management, emergency preparedness, disaster response, and crisis management.

Over the course of her career, Jennifer has demonstrated exceptional skill in clinical assessment, crisis response, case management, advocacy, and program development. She has built strong partnerships across schools, law enforcement, emergency services, healthcare organizations, and community agencies throughout Ulster County to improve access to mental health resources and strengthen systems of care.

Both Jennifer and Hailey are grounded in the belief that resilience can be cultivated through connection, education, compassion, and empowerment. Their work is driven by a deep commitment to helping families move from crisis to stability, and from struggle to resilience, by connecting them with the tools, relationships, and resources they need to thrive.
